In cooperation with Shochiku, Ushicon will be hosting the US premiere of "Tamayura - Hitotose". Members will get the opportunity to see select episodes chosen by director Junichi Sato.

You can still register at the door, at-don registration rate is $35 for membership.

Also, Junichi Sato will be at the convention on Friday and Saturday. He will not be at the convention on Sunday due to his work schedule.

Fujoshi unite! We're thrilled to let everyone know that we will be hosting a very special advance screening of the FUNimation English dub of Princess Jellyfish. The DVD/BD will be available late February, but several weeks before then you can get a chance to see the dub (and maybe even some extras) at Ushicon. So make sure to come and check that out.

We are happy to tell our members that Spike Spencer will be coming the Ushicon this February. He is well known as the voice of Shinji Ikari (Evangelion), Akito Tenkawa (Martian Successor Nadesico), Hanataro Yamada (Bleach), Go (Pretear) and many more.

We are proud to announce that prolific, veteran anime director Junichi Sato will be joining us in Round Rock for Ushicon 2012. He has been responsible for an incredible amount of great anime, including Magic Users Club, Pretear, Sgt. Frog, Aria, and much, MUCH more.

Cherami Leigh Cherami is an actress who began her work in anime voicing Sae in "Peach Girl", and has since played Aisa, Pepper, and Miss Golden Week in "One Piece," Yaz in "Shin Chan," Primula in "Shuffle," Setsuna and Akira in "Negima," Naomi in "Witchblade," Himawari in "xxxHolic," Makoto in "Sasami: Magical Girls Club," Mai in "Ghost Hunt," Ayano in "Stigma," Road in "D. Grayman," Shijima in "Nabari," Shinooka in "Big Windup," Honoka in "Kenichi," Kirimi in "Ouran Host Club," and recently released "Bamboo Blade" as Tamaki, "Sergeant Frog" as Natsumi, and "Soul Eater" as Patty. She has voiced many video games including "Lux Pain" as Nami. Cherami is currently working on several projects, on and off camera, that she is anxious to share with her fans. Junichi Sato Junichi Sato has already had an incredibly successful and prolific career in anime, working on some of the greatest titles fandom has ever seen, and he's not done yet. Sato is well known for his work on some of the most beloved shoujo anime including "Sailor Moon" and "Princess Tutu". He has also worked on a vast array of what fans refer to as 'healing' anime, like "Aria" and his current series "Tamayura". He also created series like "Magic Users Club", "Pretear", and "Kaleido Star". But Sato has an extensive range of work, including various hits like "Gate Keepers", "Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso)", "Ojamojo Doreimi", "Slayers Premium", and "Futago Hime". He's also done storyboard work for some of the most well known anime for American fandom. Sato comes to Ushicon bearing a wealth of experience in the anime industry, with extensive knowledge and information to share with fans. Spike Spencer Spike Spencer has been a voice actor since the early nineties. He has voiced hundreds of episodes of Anime including such notable titles as Evangelion, Vampire Knight, Battle Angel, Suikoden, Orphen, Spriggan, Martian Successor Nadesico, Mar, PreTear, Buso Renkin, Gundam, Code Geass 2, and Bleach. His video game credits include Saints Row 3, World of Warcraft, Tales of Vesperia, BlazBlue, Dynasty and Samurai Warriors, Steambot Chronicles, Star Ocean 2, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, and many others. Spike has also lent his voice to numerous radio and TV commercials. Spike is also an author, including "How to Be A Frickin Genius Voice Actor, Step One," "What Happens At The Con, Stays At The Con?," And "Don't Kill Your Date (And Other Cooking Tips)"-(Coming soon). What are the benefits of volunteering?
The satisfaction of a job well done, getting to help your fellow fans, and membership to Ushicon.

How many hours are required?
Varies by the staff, expect it to be around 10-12 hrs.

Can volunteers cosplay?
Any costume that does not interfere with your ability to do your assigned tasks is fine. If it gets in the way of doing your work, then no go.

Generally speaking, we want enthusiastic fans that want to help the anime community and maybe meet some new people!

Our main goals for staff are simply:
1) Treat others as you would like to be treated
2) Be Responsible. (fulfill your assigned duties and be on time)
3) Have fun!
