    As our facebook followers know, Ushicon is returning to the Wingate Inn and Conference Center Feb. 8 - 10, 2013. You can start reserving rooms now if you wish. PreRegistration will go up very soon.

    Match 7, 2012: Date pending for Ushicon 2013

    We're finalizing the agreement for next year. Ushicon will be returning to the Wingate Inn and Conference Center in Round Rock. We look forward to seeing everyone back next year!

    Also, people keep asking why Ushicon is restricted to 18 and up, our friends at The Sangawa Project did a great job crystalizing the thought behind it. To paraphrase the mission statement:

    Ushicon was reborn out of the disenfranchised older Anime/Otaku's feelings when attending the conventions of today. At current conventions there is an inability to discuss fandoms that are older than 1-2 years, along with a lack of interest older anime and video games by younger convention goers. Ushicon aims to become a place where fans who have grown tired of the circuit can come, relax, and remember what it was like to be a fan.
